Kam Wah Chung is located in the beautiful John Day River valley, halfway between Bend, Oregon & Boise Idaho. Car, bus or bicycle are the main transportation options to get here. There is a small airport, although no commercial service is available.

Getting here takes you through some of the most beautiful parts of Oregon and is half the fun!
Whichever direction you come, eventually you will wind up on Highway 26; west from Bend, east from Baker City, south from Burns, north from The Dalles or Pendleton. Highway 26 goes through the middle of John Day as Main St.
As you enter John Day, it's easy...just follow the signs...
Once you get onto Main St. ...

... turn north on NW Canton St.,
2 blocks west of the only stoplight in the county. The Interpretive Center is 1 block on the right. This is where you can park & sign up for a free tour of the museum, which is another block north to the left, by the City Park & swimming pool.
