UPCOMING OPEN HOUSE!

Please join us for an upcoming open house event at the Kam Wah Chung Interpretive Center! The event will be hosted by Oregon State Parks staff to share information regarding the ongoing GoBond project. The GoBond project funds the design and construct of a new interpretive center here in John Day! The Friends of Kam Wah Chung and Company will provide light refreshments at the event.

“The 2021 Oregon Legislature passed SB 5506 that approved general obligation bonds to revitalize parks and campgrounds. The Oregon State Parks and Recreation Commission approved a preliminary list of projects in November 2021. The project at Kam Wah Chung Heritage Site was one of the projects approved to receive funds from bond sales.”
